Precision before
projection.

We distinguish official documentation from suggested review methods. The goal is clearer questions and better-organized records, not a forecast of take-home pay.

THE RECONCILIATION LAB / FIXED FICTIONAL CASES

What does this note establish?

Read a fictional review note and select only the evidence it actually contains. This checks reading, not a commission, payment or financial decision. There are no fields for real records or amounts.

Evidence labels: document means source record; scope means transaction or report population; event means date or period basis; next means authorized review route.

  1. Fictional case: a commission statement is identified for a particular transaction. The note does not say which period or date basis is being compared, and nobody is assigned to clarify it. Present: document, scope. Keep the date-basis question open. Identify the relevant period and authorized review route before comparing the statement with a report.
  2. Fictional case: a note identifies a closed-transaction population, a calendar month and an authorized reporting contact. It does not identify the source export used for the comparison. Present: scope, event, next. Identify the source export and its generation details. A remembered monthly total does not establish which records were included.
  3. Fictional case: an approved document and a closing document are identified, and Real Support is the named route for an amount question. The note does not establish that they concern the same transaction or identify their relevant dates. Present: document, next. Establish that the two source documents share the intended transaction and identify their dates before interpreting the difference.
  4. Fictional case: a source export is identified with its closed-transaction scope, requested month and generation date. A specific statement comparison remains unexplained, and the authorized reporting contact is assigned to review it. Present: document, scope, event, next. All four evidence elements are described. That makes the question bounded; it does not prove the amounts, source records or underlying financial treatment are correct.

Reset or reload clears the choices and result. The exercise does not connect to Real or reZEN, inspect a record, calculate a commission, process a payment or change an account. Read the CSV reconciliation guide for the broader method.
